2011 World Natural Hair, Health & Beauty Show!

I was wondering if anyone is going to the 2011 World Natural Hair Show? It will be April 30th-May 1, 2011 in Atlanta, GA

I am going to try and go, anyone else going?

I hope I am able to go. I want to go the hair show in New Orleans in Feb too. That's closer to me than ATL

I would like to go since it's only $10 for general admission.

what's the diff between the general and professional tickets what are the benefits

Every year I say I am going to try and make this! I really want to go!

don't know. but I imagine you'd have to show some kind of license too if you get in as a pro. There's probably other discounts and stuff like that on products for pros. Probably not for general admission.

Didn't know there was one in New Orleans. Sounds like a nice road trip for me! I may do this one.

I'm from North Carolina!! I'm sure that some of the hotels in the area might give out discounts to the attendees...well I hope so lol!

I see they have some suggestions on the site for the Hampton Inn and Springhill Suites. Those rates are actually pretty good... I'm so excited! I'll still be checking some online booking sites though.

I will be going I have a friend that lives there so I will be staying with her I have already started making plans

Hello ladies, I'm working on going to that :-) the differrence is if you go as a professional you have to either own a shop which can be in your home technically or work in a shop no license is required since you can have a natural hair salon in some places without a license. Natural hair doesn't deal with chemicals so they really don't require licenses, if u want to color that's another story, I use to work in a natural hair salon if that helps :-)

I am definitely interested in going to the show in ATL. sounds interesting. It is such a confidence booster when you are around women who have natural hair and are going through the same issues as you hairwise.

The one in New Orleans is calling my name cause it's closer to me. Getting hopes up! Road trip, anyone?lol

I agree! I'm going to try and start saving my money for the trip! I have never been to a natural hair show and I think this one is gonna be a great one!!!

can you post the info for the show in NO, not oo far from Houston

You're welcome and technically anyone can enter as a professional all you have to do is rent a booth, or space, have something setup to sell or show and pay whatever fees they require, it's a good way to get recruit clients
