Hi Tain. Well most say (or at least most of what I have ever read and heard) is 6-8 weeks. IF your ends need it clip em. Some only "dust" their hair - clipping the tiniest amount off as opposed to like 1/4 or 1/2 inch. I usually keep it around 1/4 inch. Just see how your grows and when you see lots of split ends, it's time for a trim. Nikki and some others on here also do what they call "search and destroy" (S&D) where they just go thru their hair strands very closely and if they see and split ends or single strand knots (SSK), they just cut THAT strand, not a whole bunch.
Hope this helps. And congrats on the BC!! woot!

Sometimes it does take husbands a minute to adjust, you have to realize its a transition/change for them as well. My hubby was the same way, I like to ask him what he likes and doesnt like in regards to my hair, and sometimes I'll do the styles I know he likes, but your husband will adjust. Your hair will definitely grow, dont worry about length right now.

In regards to trimming ends, I usually trim mine every 6 months. I put my hair in about 12-15 twists and I clip about 1/4 inch off.

I typically only trim my ends when needed. If I don't wear my hair out a lot I can got up to a full year without needing a trim.

I hope your hubby comes around soon. With time he will adjust.

I trim my ends about once every six months. Other than that, I just "dust" my ends to get rid of any splits of SSKs that may form.

I haven't straightened my hair once since I went natural.
