Hey evryone tmrw ill be 6mnths natural, and iv been wondering how big my hair is souppose to growing
in these 6 mnths when i first cut my hair i was only 2inches now i, approaching 5 inches.. but my fro is still in a twa phase. Is this accurate for 6 mnths and what are some tips for achieving more length?

Protective styles can help you retain more length and a healthy diet (lots of proteins and Omega 3's and 6's) can also encourage stronger hair.

1/2 inch per month is the average growth rate, so 3 inches in 6 months is a good outcome.

@ Falcontress, I think she was saying she got 3 inches since she cut it off, she started w/2, now she has 5. But still that is right on track - 3" in 6 months is about avg since we supposedly get 6" in 12 months. So, NaturallyBriaful, you seem like you're doing fine with the growth. Just make sure you maintain your moisture!!!! Seal your hair, especially the ends so the don't split. Smile

Well yeah thats what im saying at the end of my 6th month i should be 3 inches thats what im sayin. I need to measure my hair tho and get back to ya'll. Smile

Plus you have to buy a ruler right? cause i dont have one..how do ya'll measure?

You can use our body parts (nose, chin, shoulder, armpit, etc.) as points of reference.

i was wondering the same thing about length lol seem like it's growing hella slow, but i guess i am doing good compared to some others b/c my hair has grown from brush cut short to 4-5 inches and i did my big chop in the end of july this year Razz

Yeah Im a slow grower as well but i want to meausre it in inches to see my accurate length.

Well i just measured my hair in cm and im 11 cm which means 4.3...what should i have at the end of this 6th month?

idk what your hair should be, but everyone's hair is different and u can't set ur hair growth by what someone else says....
