That is intersting and it does explain why a DC is mentioned in all post and readings about Henna & Hair. However, when I tried my first Henna Treatment week before last, my hair was not hard or dry when I rinsed it out. Granted my hair was still wet. I will have to pay attention next time I henna.

If nothing else, it is a relaxing process andyou are spending time with yourself while putting it on. I found it to be that way at least.

I am always confused when I hear people say that henna is moisturizing/conditioning. When I henna my hair is extremely dry at first, which is why I always folloe-up with a deep conditioning treatment. Recently I added honey to my DC and I looooved the outcome!

I added honey to my mix as well, Next time I think I need to add more honey to it and perhaps more EVOO. I didn't have bad results, just think adding more would bring better results. Since the article points out that it is not moisturizing, what are the true benefits other than coloring the hair to some extent w/o chemicals?
