Still oozing orange after one week
Seriously, I am still oozing a pale orange residue after my henna treatment LAST Friday/Saturday. I put it in around 8PM Friday before last (Oct. 1st, I think). I slept in it because I was too tired to stay awake and wash it out in 4 hours. I have washed my hair at least 4 times since then with regular shampoo and conditioner. And when I washed my hair today I'm still getting a faint orange stain in the suds.
What on earth? I guess I won't be sleeping in that mess again.

It happens, you didn't do anything wrong by sleeping with the henna in your hair. Since it only stains the outside of your cuticle, it's more prone to washing away, than a permanent dye that stains penetrates into the cuticle. I'm not sure if I explained that correctly, but anyways, henna does color your suds- but you shouldn't experience noticeable fading of the henna color in your hair.

Re: Still oozing orange after one week
Since I've been using henna for several months now, I can only assume my application and the length of time I let it sit on my head are the culprits. Usually I just slap the henna on top and massage it through the rest of my hair with my gloved hands.
This time, as I mentioned, I separated my hair in small sections as if I was doing a touch up and got it in good everywhere. On top of that, I let it sit/harden overnight.
Maybe some others can help, but what happened to me this time is definitely not the norm for me.
