Over stretching hair? Empty Over stretching hair?

Hello. This friday i will do my hair in braids, and keep them in for longer time if i like the result.
But i'm thinking about blowdrying my hair, before braiding for more length and less frizz and shrinks on the braids. But will that over stretch my hair and damage it?
I do hardly never use any kind of heat on my hair.
