Post by Latisas2003 27th September 2010, 5:18 am

Hello Everyone,

I am a soldier in Iraq. I have been natural for about 2 1/2 yrs now. I have very thick coily hair. My problem is when I wash my hair and let it air dry in a puff it always ends up being very dry and tangled. Sad I use a leave in conditoner and add cantu shea butter and oils for sealant. Could someone please help me to figure out what is going on. Oh I forgot to mention that I am in very hot weather from time to time all day. I use Design Essentials hair products also. Natural world please help me I am so lost without my beautican around.

My hair does the same thing if I let it air dry loose. I would suggest twisting your hair and letting it air dry then style your hair into a puff.
