could this be the beginning of another scandal like what happened in the catholic church??

what do yall think? is this just an accusation or is there some truth to this story? if you were a member of this church (or are currently) or if this happened to YOUR pastor, would you continue to be lead by that shepard? or would you seek your weekly church connection elsewhere until the situation was handled??

All I can do is pray for the Bishop's family and his accusors. As of right now we don't have all the facts, so its too soon to make a decision. If there were some accusations like that against my pastor, I would definitely pray for him and his family, but probably start looking at other churches until the situation is settled.

This is a sad situation and I am definitely praying for all the parties involved. I hope the allegations aren't true but I would definitely worship elsewhere until the situation is resolved.

yes prayer is definitely what is needed! for both sides involved. not sure if i would be able to stick around in the midst of all of this. i would depend on how connected i was to the church& the pastor. a church that i used to attend had a scandal (not like this) but it rub a lot of members who had been there the lifetime of the church the wrong way and consequently a lot of people left.

im sure there will be people at new birth on sunday just because of this, but the negative press definitely makes you think long and hard about your choice of spiritual leadership.

Allegations don't prove one to be guilty its just one persons word against another....Concrete evidence and Facts are what put people in prison most times.. so until they have matter of fact evidence the puts him in the wrong place at the Wrong Time.. their church should continue to praise and worship .. and extend Prayers for resolution in a timely manner.

What happened with this? Didn't he agree to mediation or something with the accusers. Just wondering if anything more ever came out since he vehemently denied it and then next thing in the press was talks between the parties.

The local news reported last week that it was going into mediation.
