i have been there, and i know the feeling. my college roommate used to have her boyfriend sleep in the same bed as her. that just made me feel UNcomfy. AND what was weird and downright close to pornographic is that he would go in the shower with her while i was there(albeit, he wouldn't bath. he would just be in the bathroom while she is showering, but am not going to assume anything....). hate to say it, but i QUICKLY was the snitch and told the RA. She wasn't too happy, but I didn't care because my student loans didn't support his dating efforts!!

Being a pediatric nurse for the past five years has made me realize everyone should not have children. Some people should be given a common sense test first and if they fail miserably their uterus should be put out of commission until they develop enough common sense to raise a child. Can you tell I just had a lonnnnngggg 12 hour shift?!?!?

@hayylee,,,,your roomate needs to respect YOUR space and YOUR things. So having someone else living there with you is completely disrespectful, especially if she didn't talk it over with you. It's time your told your roomate how you feel. You should not be uncomfortable where you lay your head. How can she move someone else in a cubby hole size dorm is besides me. Tell her that your room is not the Holiday Inn. lol

So I had this co-worker ask me why do “our” little girls get upset when someone calls them bald headed? (Yes this involves the three little girls I wrote Nikki about) I tried to explain it to her and but before I could finish she says “well I knew it was an insult I’m not that stupid”. WHOOO HEFFA! Completely missed the point of what I was explaining to her. But you are the same “educated” heffa who thinks she has a black girl’s name, whatever that means and swears she has a black girls butt. You heffa your butt is flat and wide. I have a black girl’s butt because I am a black girl!

Sorry… we will now return to our regularly scheduled program.

So speaking of H1N1. The schools here are offering free shots or mists to the students. great right? Wrong! In my school there are so many preggos that I have lost count. The mist is the live virus and preggos shouldn't be around it. Also what about the kids with the special health issues who can't be around it? so, the preggo most likely won't come to work and I have two kids at the house with special health needs so, I shouldn't come to work. Curly_danni...you bring up a good point. I DESPISE when folks try to touch my babys face or hands. I'm going to start making him wear onesies that say look but don't touch. I already have a little pillow attached to his carseat handle that says "Before You Touch Please Wash Your Hands". There are just too many things going around for you to be trying to put your hands in my babys face. UGGHHH!

@hayylee and dajewel, I can feel both of yalls pain. My freshman year in the dorm, my roomate had her boyfriend there four times out of the week. I told her if she was gonn ahave him sleep over, let me know and I would try to compromise and she said she would. Did she follow through on that?? Nooooo....so I skipped my happy butt on over to our RA and told him the business. We had a meeting and solved the problem, but the next week, Im walking out of the shower and who do I see staring back at me...HER BF and she wasnt even there! I was so pissed I told him to get the hell out or else I was calling the cops (I really wasnt gonna do that). Long story short, she ended up moving out of the dorm into her own single, while I got to keep my same dorm with no new roomate for the remainder of the year without paying extra!! Yay!! LOL...

I hear you sis. I never got so much unwanted/unsolicited advice/comments than when we found out I was pregnant. When I said I was going to breastfeed for a year people were like, "A YEAR??!?!" YES, A YEAR DAMMIT! When I said we're going to have a homebirth people were like, "Yeah okay until you feel that pain!" UGGHHH! They got on my nerves honey. And the sad thing was it was mostly family...ignorance is bliss I tell ya!

ok, I'm venting. My co-worker told me that she didn't think I was as smart as I am because of my 'funky hair do'. She also stated that my hair was so much curlier than other black people who's hair is all over the place and stuck flat on their heads." Huh? Are you serious?

@Quake_19 so she assumed that you were an idiot because you had "funky hair do". From what I've seen on this blog and other blogs as where as naturals I meet (I honestly don't know that many but still [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ) We are very intelligent and in tune to who we are not only as "natural" women but as women, black women, sisters, mothers, aunts, etc etc. First and foremost we were smart enough to stop putting that "creamy crack" in our hair. Girl, I'm pissed off for you.
