Moving to Dallas
Hi Ladies,
I'm going to be moving to Dallas in October for a new job, and I'm starting my apartment hunt! I'd like to live in the metro area as I'm 23 and need to be close to work. I'll be looking for a studio, and I'd like to live in a safe, newer place, and probably not spend more than 800 dollars/month. Any ideas?
If you live in Dallas, I definitely want to know about all the hot spots for dining, shopping, and hanging out. I appreciate any advice you have.
Thanks!
ChardaƩ

Re: Moving to Dallas
Look at the Alta Design District appartments, they are downtown and only a year old. There is another company called Amli, they have several aparment complexs in the Dallas area. I really don't know the price range. I moved to Dallas over a year ago, but I decided to stay away from downtown because it wasn't my cup of tea. I live North Dallas near the Addison Area. I have a 900 sq foot apartment and I pay under $800
You should have a lot of luck with your budget and what you are loking for....
I hope this helps....

Thanks. I've actually been looking into Addison, too. I definitely appreciate the artsy vibe, and I love little shops and being able to walk around and enjoy where I live.

Hey Chardae - I live in the Valley Ranch area of Irving. It's pretty nice and close to a lot of shopping and major highways. My apartment is pretty small, but I only pay 630.00 for it. It's a very diverse area with tons of restaurants, shopping - not much nightlife, but that's all within driving distance.
Addison, as darkkinkynlovely posted, is a very nice area with TONS of restaurants and shopping. It's also really close to Plano, which is a higher-income area with places to walk as well. Depending on where your job is, you may want to look in the Plano area as well.
Good luck - I'm a lifelong Dallas girl, so ask away if you need advice.

Re: Moving to Dallas
Thanks for your input!Right now I'm trying to decide if I need to live in the city, or in the suburbs. That's a difficult choice to make.

How funny, I'm in the process of trying to relocate to Dallas. I say trying because I'm in the beginning of my job hunt.
