losing hair

I had been wearing locs for about 7 yrs and in Dec 2009 I got a friend of mines to cut like 75% of my hair & comb loose the rest of my locs. I was getting my hair press until about a month ago but I notice the front was getting straight & losing it curls so I stop; however, now the back of my hair is very sponge up and whenever I wash or comb it a lot of small mini curls just pop off everywhere I don’t know what to do to stop them.

Hi Godfirst,
I know it has been a while since you posted your question. I'm not sure if the hair that is falling out is breakage or sheeding, but you can try a protein treatment to strenghten you hair. Sally's and other BSS have Aphogee treatments. You can also make a protein conditioner with raw eggs, mayo and oil. Make sure you follow the treatment with a moisturizing condtioner. HTH
