Rapid hair growth
The only thing I have been doing to my hair is cowashing it daily and applying a shea butter pomade followed by kinky curly knot today and kinky curly curling custard. I am amazed at how fast it has grown since my bc on June 12. I just wanted to share my results so far.

Re: Rapid hair growth
Wow!!! I bc the same day, however I was very ignorant as to how to get my hair to naturally curl so I got a mild texturizer. However once I found out about CN and great tips on how my natural hair could be curly I went out the same day and bought the Kinky Curly products...and they really work, even with the little bit of chemicals I did put in my hair. I will probably start over again, but I won't mind because it is growing rather fast.
I do wonder though...have you had a day where you couldn't cowash? Does the process ever seem tedious to you?

@ kim,thanks =)
@crystal belle that's awesome that we did the BC on the same day. The first time I had a day when I couldn't cowash was actually this week, and my hair still looked presentable lol. No the process is not tedious to me its just something that I do lol im just used to it [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Rapid hair growth
I still haven't had a day where I couldn't and was bit nervous, but it's good to know that it will be ok if I can't.
Just two more questions (I promise-lol)! If you don't mind would you please share with us the product that you use to co-wash with and how do you care for your hair when you go to sleep? (I've been using a silk bonnet, but I feel like I should be doing more.) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Rapid hair growth
I cowash with yes to cucumbers or suave almond and shea butter conditioner. For shampoo I use the kinky curly come clean once a week or so. When I go to sleep, I usually just push all my hair on top of my head and that's it.
Re: Rapid hair growth

Re: Rapid hair growth
Co wash mean to wash with conditioner only...shampoo is substituted for conditioner because shampoo can really strip all the oils from your hair and make it feel dry. The conditioner is a more moisturizing alternative to shampooing. Some people still choose to use shampoo but may opt for a more natural shampoo that avoids the harsh drying sulfates that can be found in many shampoo brands.

Re: Rapid hair growth
yes you wash it out. sometimes i leave a lil in though it just depends on how your hair responds to it
Re: Rapid hair growth
@candycane1224 When you cowash your hair do you rub it in your scalp or just focus on your hair? And nice growth!
Re: Rapid hair growth
Great progress!
Are you still using the same products?

Yes I am. I am also using the mixed chicks leave in because it provides hold without that crunchy feel.

Re: Rapid hair growth
@NaturallyBriaful I use a shea butter pomade or the moisturizer from soft and beautiful the 3-n-1 moisturizer...most of the time the shea butter pomade though. it is made by kemi and is sold in most beauty supplies.
@Indidiiamond thanks. remember that everyone's hair is different. my hair just grows really fast, it surprised me too because when it was relaxed i never retained growth past my shoulders. i feel like ill be there in notime lol but im sure your hair will grow long too. how long is it now?
