Thanks for that info. I'll be adding an essential oil to my mixture b/c the smell reminds me of baby vomit.

I kinda know what you mean. It could be the aloe vera gel and the oils. That AVG doesn't smell all that nice as it is...plus oils and a SWEET smelling product? No bueno. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Another convert here..
I tried this over the weekend using her exact recipe and my hair thanks her. 2 days later my hair is still well moisturized and my twist out is fab.

I haven't used her leave-in mix yet because I don't have all the products yet. However, I was looking on amazon.com for aloe vera juice and I think it's so funny that the frequently bought products are jojoba and castor oil. This mixture is sweeping the internet!! LOL they even suggest you buying all 3 together because so many other people are buying them all to make kimmaytube's leave-in
Re: ........
@ BajanPrincess - LOVING the flower and puff. So cute!
Oh, I'm still using it. My hair is not as soft but I think it's because of my BC. I'm hearing that once it starts retaining moisture and stops losing it's mind it should start working again. LOL!! I've gotta name my hair!

I also tried this over the weekend and i love it!! My hair has never been softer and so lightweight.
I used aloe vera gel as a substitute for the aloe vera juice though and its still really good. I really like it for a twist-out too. Im in love!!
Side joke: I left it in the bathroom unmixed and my mom thought it was potatoes lol..she was like " who left food in here?" lol

For the people that have used this for 3 mths or more can you report your results? How has your retention been? Notice less breakage?

I think i will try this method for a couple of months to see how my hair will grow.. you never know. So far, so good.
I also tried it with Pantene Naturals instead of Knot Today.

I use my mix with Giovanni Direct leave in. I didn't have that effect. Are you just slathering it on like a moisturizer or applying it with a shingling technique? I've only tried the mixture twice, not really measuring exactly but kind of by sight because I know what my hair likes, but both times I've LOVED it.
1st time - applied it to sections of wet hair, combed through and braided for a braid out
2nd time - applied to smaller sections, combed through and twisted for a twist out
Used:
Natural High Aloe Vera Gel
Desert Essence jojoba oil
Wal-mart brand EVOO
Castor Oil

Last week I tried the mixture with Garnier Fructis leave-in cream and it is THE BUSINESS!!! No residue, has a citrus smell, feels amazing on my hair! A+ for sure
Re: ........
I have use both the KCNT or the GDLI with stellar results. I have finally retain more and can recognized some length in the few weeks I have used it. Definitely a keeper!

Hi LadyMika,
I'd like to know how many drops of tea tree oil you add to the Kimmay leave-in because I don't want to add too much TT and burn my scalp. I use 10 drops of TT in a water & jojoba mix for my scalp, but never thought about adding the TT directly to the leave-in mix (which I love). Thanks much.

I second the mixture with the Garnier Fructis Leave-in creme. It is very nice. No white residue. Nice scent. Soft hair! This has been day 3 for me using it though.
Re: ........
I made a batch of this yesterday applied to my twists and rolled them on satin covered foam rollers. I really like it. I have soft, moist curls with more definition than I have ever had without using heat.

Tried this with the Mixed Chicks leave-in. NOT COOL! It left white specks all over my hair. Don't know what that was about. So, went out and got KCKT and will be trying again in a couple days.

I only used about five drops in the mix. I don't make a lot of it (only enough for that moment) so five drops should be enough. Hope this helps!
