Re: rebelrocks
I failed. I did not do henna this weekend like I planned...I was just too busy!
Today is day 3 of a twist out I did on Saturday morning before going to ATL. It has held up wonderfully and the products I'm using (HH, Coconut Oil, DevaOne and Set it Free) seem to be a dynamic duo
I covered my hair with a satin cap last night, and gently fluffed this morning

Good morning ladies! Busy morning, no time for blogging like I wanted to
Anyhoo, this is actually day FOUR of my twistout, I'm on uncharted waters. My hair never lasts this long....then again i'm not sure how well it's doing at "lasting" either" It's frizzy, but i'm rockin it The pic below is actually from yesterday (notice the frizz) it's a little more frizzy today, but i've got some definition left, considering how long it's been since i've twisted

My twistouts do the same thing...by day 3 it's done and I just snatch it back in a bun. I think for day four your hair is still holding up well.

Re: rebelrocks
last night I did henna! My results were ok I think it's because my henna bar was very old.
anyhoo I mixed with hot green tea in a pyrex bowl over a pot with 1 cup of boiling water and stirred until it was a yogurt consistency, sectioned my hair, and applied generously. I wrapped cling wrap around my head and sat under the dryer for every few hours, I left the henna on for about 10 hours! Did a DT and chunky twisted earllllllyyyy this morning. My hair was a little stiff (the DT helped)which was a let down....I blame the henna's old age! OH and by the way I used Lush's Caca Noir henna..my hair got super dark, i love it!
here are some pics :
My mix (Dark because of the indigo in it)

OMG - I've gotta try that henna! I love how your hair turned out. I've been itching to try some but have been leery for some reason, mostly because I have color in my hair and have been paranoid about what color my hair will turn. But since I've seen the color of your hair in person, you've given me a little hope!

If you want, I can do it with you! Yeah, since your hair color is so awesome, that is a concern...but fear not. The color took VERY well...i have a few dark brown highlights and they really feel well hydrated and look super shiny and healthy...i'd recommend it. You can't wash the color out, so you're stuck with it for about a month, so if you REALLY hate it, know that it fades away but I'm confident you'll love it and your hair will too
also note, it can only make your hair darker...i know yours is kind of light, so that may be something you should think about..but other than that, i'd recommend henna to anyone!

Re: rebelrocks
Morning Lady Bugs I think I've added something to my routine! RE-Twisting every night! It sounds like a hassell but my results were so wonderful this morning, I have to keep trying it. I did about 5 or 6 chunky twists on each side, re-wet the ends with olive oil, water, shea butter and a little Set it Free and rolled 3 or 4 twists onto blue flex rods and went to sleep! It was a little uncomfortable at first, but it wasn't bad. And my hair is thanking me for it today It looks more full and vibrant than most of my day 2's look.
ignore the toilet and my random name badge...I took pics just now in the bathroom at my job (hospital) lol sorry =XI think these pics show the color better than the ones from yesterday
