Going through the hair growth cycle (I guess?) Empty Going through the hair growth cycle (I guess?)

Hey ladies,

So I know we have different hair types but I thought this was interesting. I remember posting this link a while back:

http://www.pgbeautygroomingscience.com/the-hair-growth-cycle.html/ (by the way do those pictures on that website work? they don't work for me anymore)

Anyway so for several months now I have had these short hairs in the front by my hair line and I *thought* my "baby hairs" were growing in, lol, but no. I lift this hair and the little baby hair I do have is still there.

So I think I am going through or have gone through the hair growth cycle. I know this isn't breakage and I definitely didn't cut it. I have seen a few threads where people are curious about the short hairs they do have so I thought maybe this is the answer! Of course if you're not properly caring for your hair then it could certainly be breakage but if you know you're doing everything correctly then you are likely going through the hair growth cycle. I know my daughter has some shorter hairs in a few places as well so this is interesting.

Also notice how I have these shorter hairs on both sides of my hair line, one side has more than the other so I'm wondering if when your hair goes through the growth cycle if it seems to happen in certain areas at a time. Like the hairline, or nape area, etc.

I'm just rambling and thinking out loud, thought I would share anyway!

So this first picture is the short hair compared to my "bangs". My bangs are well past my chin, as you can see they do not blend in.

I have those "hairs" too, although mine are a lot shorter. I know it's genetics because my mom (on this day) has the same exact "baby hairs" around her hairline

Yeah I have short baby hairs underneath. My ponytails don't even look cute now. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] It looks like I tried to cut my own baby hairs. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] These are going to take a long time to catch up with the rest of my hair. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

That's the reason I kinda want mine to stay where they are. That is frustrating
