They don't sell Qhemets. I'm not sure if she's trying to get it. I know she was working on getting Oyin. There is a store in Atlanta that sells it. It's on the Qhemets website. I was lucky, I picked some up in Columbia, SC on Saturday night. Burkdock Root Butter. I can't wait to try it, but it's gotta get in line.

Thanks for sharing. Maybe that's why my hair gets so frizzy. I'm retwisting it dry.

Well, I think the jury is in for me on Curls Whipped Cream. I can only get a one day wash and go. My hair looks amazing, but the product is too expensive to use everyday. I use too much of it. Plus I'm not going to wash my hair everyday either. I'll try it for a twist out since Curly Nikki had some success with that and see how it goes, but it's definitely not going to work for a winter wash and go unless I want one day of hot hair.

I'll try the Curl's Souffle before I give up on Curls completely. This is the product for us not so thick curlies. That would be me.

I'm still looking for advice on my twist outs if anyone's reading.

Hi Renny! I'm still a newbie on the twistouts so I can't offer much advice, but I really want to try the Curls Whipped Cream. What is the consistency of it?

Latoya,

It's very thick like a pudding, but a little thicker. It's a nice feeling product. What are you thinking of trying it for. I used the Quenched Curls under it today and yesterday I used my Giovanni Direct Leave-in. I think I had better results with the Giovanni. Shrinkage was crazy with the Quenched Curls.

I have an extremely tight curls. I'm looking for something to loosen them not make them tighter. By day 2 the Whipped Cream has my hair tight so tight I can hardly get my fingers in.

Did you read Curly Nikki's reviews?

Crissy - I have to retwist on the 2nd night and so far I've only gotten a 3 day twist out. Retwisting doesn't take that long. I only do like 8 big twists.

Me, KNH and now toya have a personal twist challage. for myself I am trying to stay twisted for 10 weeks. 5 days twisted 2 days out, the other ladies have their own goals, but we have to stay consistant. The purpose is to get all the growth we can get by spring. If i feel like i can go on after the 10 weeks i will go another 10. That should take me to spring.

I'm thinking of using it for twists and cornrows. I love thick products and yes I did read Nikki's reviews. She's the one that got me so hyped about using them.

@LaToya - I like it for a one day WNG. I mean my hair looks really, really good. I'm determined to use it or the souffle. I'm thinking the Souffle is for me. I just need something a little less heavy and that would be the souffle.

I did some twist with it last night and my hair looks great. I'll update later exactly what I did. I'm too pooped to do it now.

Hi Renny!

I get good results with a flat twist out. I don't have to fluff much (which eliminates frizz) and it can last 3 days without retwisting. I do about 8-10 flat twists and it turns out well.

Post by Renny 19th December 2010, 12:51 am

I had already shared my review of the Darcy's Deep Conditioning Mask, but now I have tried several of the other products. I've been using them for a few weeks and have decided the jury is in on what I think. I purchased the "new" Curl Styling Leave-in, the Daily Leave-in and received a bottle of the "new" Curl Styling Cream Gel (which isn't on the website yet).

I love them all! Love them!!!!!!!!!! She needs to go ahead and roll out that styling cream gel because it's wonderful.

I've used these products for twists. I had an old twist out that I was going to wash and decided to put some product on it just because I was supercurious. I put all three in my head at once in various places. I put the daily-leave in all over because my hair was dry and then retwisted most of my head with the daily leave-in. I chose to use the Curly Styling Leave-in in the front of my head and the styling cream gel in the center toward the back. That's where I have the most frizz. My roots have been puffy every time I do twist and definitely when I twist out. But with the Darcy's I had no frizz. I had no frizz or puffiness for 7 days! I never washed my hair like I intended to, because the next day after I applied these products my hair was so friggin moist and curly that I couldn't bring myself to wash it. This feeling continued for a week. I did retwist and remoisturize twice during that time with the daily leave-in and it needed it, but the curl definition was fierce.

The other major benefit. My hair was elongated enough for me to pin up into a protective style. Yes, me, who hasn't been able to protective style found a style I could wear to work. It's not styled in most of these pictures. It's just out. I pinned it everyday for a week, but prior to pinning here are a few shots of my hair when I took my satin cap off in the morning:

My ends pinned in.
Darcy's Botanticals is da truth! - Page 4 Santa_22

My pin up. Yes, I'm protective styling and it's great because I don't have to do anything to it.
Darcy's Botanticals is da truth! - Page 4 Santa_23

I washed and DCed my hair with DB Condish Mask last night and twisted this morning with the Curl Style Leave-In. I'll take the twist out and rock a twist out to church and to a book club meeting tomorrow and take some pics. This will be the first time I've used one of the products alone and the first time I'll actually wear a twist out. It's just been pinned up. But like I said, no frizz. She claims all the products will defrizz and they defrizzed me!

Good review on the darcys. I bought a few products on black Friday. I have only used the twisting cream.

The gingerbread house is too cute. My son asked if we can make one this week, wish us luck.

Yeah for your hair loving DB products. Her LI is great. I plan to try some of the other products also. I liked her hair milk also, not sure if she still carries it or renamed it.

Cool gingerbread house! Your son's smile is contagious Smile .

@Chrs - Was it the peach kernal hair milk or the lemongrass transisitoning one? I've been looking at both. I don't need another product, but...

Thanks on the Gingerbread house. We had big fun. He has been eating bits and pieces of it everyday.

So you are loving the Darcy's products? Renny.....what does your stash look like? I'm just asking...LOL

Look for your package this week or the beginning of next week. I'm so bad about going to the post office. I have several boxes to mail.

Hope you enjoyed your Christmas, and have a safe and blessed New Year!!!

Renny, very nice hair!!!! Great definition. I am also in LOVE with the Darcy's Curl Cream Gel.nIt's awesome! A cream and gel rolled into one was exactly what I needed. I got the best styling ever with this product. I contacted
Lysandra from DB regarding the release date for the product and she stated that she will release it in a few weeks. I couldn't wait so I went to Sage and bought all 5 remaining bottles! Very Happy

Hey Lady,

We had fun making that house and do you know it's still standing. He took one side off of it to make a garage. He has cars parked up in it and everything. Of course he ate the side he took off. But anyway, it's still standing strong. We're going to build a little town next year.

Don't rush with that stuff. I told you I have tons of products. When I get it, I get it. I'm doing my Darcy's thing right now.

Blessings to you for the New Year!

Ooooowe, you little product hog. LOL. I love the cream/gel concept. It really saved me a step, because that's exactly what I had figured out to do to cut frizz. I was using the Elasta QP an Olive and Mango Butter and then putting the Kiss My Face Gel on top. I did that twice and had no frizz. Then here goes the Darcy's. I love it. Plus it elongates my curls. I love it. She has a hit with this one. I can't wait until she releases it. I'll be at Sage as soon as Cindy gets a shipment.
