Okay, so i just joined this.lol.My brother's gf sent me the link, and because i am OBSESSED with natural hair, i decided to join.lol.
My question is...
WHY CANT I SEEM TO SEE ANY HAIR GROWTH?! Evil or Very Mad

The vitamins i take helped alot, but whenever i take braids out after a couple months, i cant notice anything :\.My mom and dad notice alot.Bt it seems like my hair just stays the same length. And right now my hair is past my shoulders :\.But i want to reach Bra strap length.Anyone wanna help me on growing my hair longer than this! Smile

Orr.Maybe someone can tell me what they're doing to make their hair grow.i feel like im coming to an end here :\

When I'm preoccupied with growth, I see no growth. It's only when I'm not obsessed with my hair is when my hair truly grows. I've heard that Wild Hair Growth Oil is a great oil for growing out hair, and Castor oil is great too. Also, you might need to tweak your regimen and change the products you are currently using abd use products that will actually help your hair.

Yeah, I personally have not used whgo but i have heard the smell is bad. Many mix it with sweet smelling oils. Biotin should help and maybe you could try henna. Henna strengthens the hair allowing for length retention and decreased breakage.

It's a plant that is made into powder. It stregnthens your hair and can be described as a natural dye.

I have actually never used henna. I prefer cassia which I want to use because it has the same behefits without the changing hair color.

This website has an e-book explaining and you should definitely read it prior to hennaing.

It wouldn't turn your hair red but would give an auburn glow in the sunlight. It really depends on the mix and you can go over to the henna forum to see the different mixes some curlies are using.

Need more details. What exactly is your regimen? How and how often are you cleansing? How are you detangling? Do you use color? Are you flat ironing? Blow drying? How long are you keeping braids in? What products are you using? Details, details, details.

Like bascially i wash my hair twice a month, but i keep my braids in for about...3 or 4 months?I hardly flat iron, maybe about twice a year at the least.I dont blow dry because of the heat.I use a little wild hair growth oil, sulfur oil, biotin & msm vitamins, and mane n tail shampoo.

Since you're already taking vitamins... I'd say try the henna or some other deep conditioner to strengthen your hair. I feel like your hair is under a lot of stress when you put it in braids. This wont really help your hair grow faster but it would reduce shedding and help you to keep more of your hair.

I've noticed that when I'm focused on hair growth and watching it, I see no progress. When I'm preoccupied with other things and not too obsessed with my hair, I notice more growth. Also documenting growth by taking pictures periodically helps. When I'm discouraged about growth, looking back at pictures helps me see that my hair actually is growing! Hope this helps! : )

You didnt list any conditioners. Do you use conditioners? How often do you deep condition?
