Re: Eco custard
That looks fab CurlyBarbi! I especially like how it looks just after taking the twists out. I'm going to try this recipe soon and VERY SOON! lol
Re: Eco custard
Thanks, Ladies! I will be doing a total twist out this weekend.
@tashafawn - the color is Henna. All of the bright red is actually gray hair! I just wasn't ready for that gray yet. It made me look 10 years older. YES! I am coming up on my one year nappyversary, or should I say "curlyversary". Nappy is so negative to me. Anyway, I'm so excited!

Re: Eco custard
Awesome twist out puff!!!!
I've used ecocustard (Olive oil Ecostyler gel, avocado oil, EVOO, castor oil) on my two strand twist. I had great shine and hold without it being hard.

Yours look very good too, Lynnie!
Has anyone tried this with a different gel? I don't have any ecostyler but I have Ampro, Long Aid, Smooth n Shine.

BEAUTIFUL, Lynnie! How long did it take you to twist your hair in this pic? I want to twist mine and try to wear it out, but I'm afraid they won't look right. Yours are really nice!

Ok, thanks ladies!
Re: Eco custard
Lynnie your twists are gorgeous. Question for you....when doing your twist did you do it with your hair wet or dry?

Re: Eco custard
@ CurlyPA - Thanks. The twist in the pic were done on wet hair. But I have done them on wet and dry hair before.
Twist done on wet hair = shrinkage
Twist done on dry hair shows off your length.

Re: Eco custard
I put the custard on each section prior to twisting. I use it on wet to damp hair. I don't mind the shrinkage.summerbreeze76 wrote:Do you all put the custord on each twist or sections of hair or what? I so wanna try this out.
Re: Eco custard
I put the custard on wet hair. I had the best twist out this past Sunday. I got so many compliments. I mix eco styler olive oil , sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil, evoo and aloe vera gel. I really love using this for twist out. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Eco custard
All this talking about Eco custard got me real excited, lol, so I whipped up a batch. I used the krystal Eco Styler with castor, jojoba and grapeseed oil. I didn't have any AVG, but I plan to get some and use it in the next mix. I'll let you guys know how I like it.

I would mist/spritz my hair with a little water and retwist.

Summerbreeze, when I retwisted mine, I sprayed a little water on them. On about the third day, I was starting to lose the definition, so I used Aloe Vera gel with a little EVOO mixed in. The fourth day was LOVELY!

Re: Eco custard
I have the Eco-styler olive oil. Do I still need to add EVOO to the custard?
