Hi to you and BabyLove!

Varied textures and curl sizes (or lack thereof) is not uncommon. The key is to know how to treat them. In time, you will learn what works best or how much works best on which texture/curl.

Have fun experimenting with your hair, and much success on job hunting!

Thank you so much! BabyLove is having a moment where she just wants to shed. I'm about to twist her as we speak but I'm wondering if mini twists work with my medium fro

BabyLove took the mini twists & ran with them. It's just at a weird length so I couldn't style them the way I wanted to. :-(.
The good news is that right now I have flat twists to switch it up. I'm definitely looking for styles for this awkward stage tho.

Thanks Priceless! I haven't tried shea & EVOO yet. When I twist it's usually with ORS Loc & Twist gel and Africa's Best Herbal Oil. My twists look nice and shiny but when it's out, it looks super dry which I hate!

What do you use under the ORS Loc and Twist gel? Do you use a leave in conditioner?

When I've washed my hair, I will. Other than that, no.

using something as a leave in ie conditioner ( could be the conditioner you do your co washes with) with your oil may do the trick or try the EVOO with a butter. The conditioner with a oil works for me

Awww...your close to me. I went to school in Greensboro...UNCG. Sorry about the heat damage but better now than later right? And just to go back a few posts my honey told me my hair looked ashy one day a while back and coconut oil came to the rescue. Love that stuff for the whole family. Smile

UNC-GGGGGGGGG! It's so nice to hear from a fellow Spartan! I really am happy it happened now rather than at a longer length. Luckily for me it was just my ends and not all of the curls that were affected. I kind of want to try coconut oil, I'm just not sure what kind to get.

It wasn't a lot...maybe 2 inches? But it was worth it b/c I got a cut plus I got rid of damage before my hair was longer. I'm def never using Cantu flat iron spray nor am I flat ironing again til next year.

Hey Mz. CiCi!!

I use Organic Root Stimulator Replenishing Conditioner, its a deep conditioner and it works very well. My hair always feels so soft and moisturized after I use it. They have it in little packs so you can try it and see if you like it.

Hi QuietButterfly!
Will that work for after henna use? That's the main reason I'm looking for it

OH, after henna?? Well I'm not sure, I've never henna-ed before, so you might want to ask some of the other ladies who know about henna. Sorry Mz. CiCi - Page 2 Icon_sad

Hey chica

I had heat damage too in the begining of my process. I looked at it like its hair and as long as i keep it heathly it will grow back. I figured I rather it be earlier to find it then later. I have found that i have made mistakes in this process in the begining but i will bounce back.

I used miss jessie's rapid recovery for after i henned but i really didn't like it that much. jessiecurl weekly deep conditioner my cousin used and said it works wonders. I have to wait to funds come in to buy the jessiecurl so, i have not tired it myself. but she says curly nikki used it and reviewed it on naturallycurl.com.
