Girl jump on it! I've read all the books in the series and for it to be a "teen" book, it is really good. I'm actually re-reading new moon and eclipse before I go see the movie.

I'm in the middle of New Moon right now! It's great. Smile

Hair Story: Untangling the Roots of Black Hair in America should be a MUST READ for all women, natural or relaxed. It was SO good and so interesting, I finished it in a day.

Hi guys!

I've been asked what I want for xmas and I really want some hair book. Please could recommend some to me?
So far on the list I have (from above responses):
"Grow it"
"Thank God I'm natural"
"Hair Story"

Are there any more I could read or pick from?

Thanks

I purchased "Grow It" by Chicoro on Amazon a few months back. I just started reading it last week. Initially I was skeptical, but without reason. Now I'm singing it's praises! She provides excellent information throughout and even if you are very familiar with hair in general, you are bound to learn something new! I highly recommend it!

Yes, I've been reading "Thank God I'm Natural" and I love it. Is anyone else reading this book? What are your thoughts? I would love to get a discussion rolling.

I read this book a looonnng time ago:

Good hair: for colored girls who've considered weaves when the chemicals became too ruff by Lonnice Brittenum Bonner. It was published in 1991 and I remember her on Oprah.

Here's the link to Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Good-Hair-Colored-Considered-Chemicals/dp/0517881519
