I drank 20 oz so far today (I think). A friend of mine suggested a good idea (by the way she doesn't think this 1 month challenge is a great idea for ppl who really don't like to drink water b/c she thinks I'm setting my self up for misery!).

Anywho, her suggestion was to fill a 64 oz bottle of water and keep in the fridge, and challenge yourself to finish that bottle before you go to bed. I thought this was a good idea. That way I'm not thinking about how many times I refilled (or didn't) my water bottle for the day. Instead I'm focused on depleting a visual. Make sense?

What do you ladies think?

That sounds like a good idea!

@KNH--I like how you so conveinently interpreted "MEMORIAL WEEKEND" to mean "EVERY WEEKEND" LOL!!! That is too funny to me. I understand though is something about your momma's tea or anything that she makes for that matter.

Soooo... I was an original member of this challenge, but after I posted, I totally forgot about it. No bueno. I really want to rejoin. I just haven't gone grocery shopping yet so I have no water. I'm glad ya'll extended it to the month. I think it's fair for us to have a drink on the weekends.

I'm just like you JamaicaCurl. I don't think I drink enough fluids period. I really only drink when I eat or in cases with dire thirst. And even then I drink very slow. When I go out for drinks, my friends laugh because they always think I'm babysitting my drinks or can't handle more. But I do the same thing with soda or juice. I just don't drink alot of anything.

I'm going out of town this weekend, so I plan to restart this challenge next Monday.

I completely bombed yesterday! Not one drop of water hit my mouth! Went to lunch with my friend and automatically got a Sprite. Had take out for dinner and hubby got me sweet tea. And I didn't even make the effort to drink water to make up for it, smh.

I'll do better this weekend. Have a birthday party to go to today so I don't expect there to be much water. Of course, I could bring my water bottle.

How's it going ladies? I'm doing better this week. I am working on finishing my 2 L pitcher of water at home. Hubby is also drinking some so it's hard to tell exactly how much I've had but...I'm drinking!

GM Ladies!

I thought about you all this morning. I've been doing good as well, aside from another coffee fix this morning. I know, I know...I need to be stronger where the coffee is concerned [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] . But I have nothing but water at home therefore I have no other choice than to drink it.

How has everyone else been doing?

While sipping my morning cup of tea I realized that I don't drink enough water and when I do I feel alot better. With that said I'm going to fill up my water bottle when I get home with filtered water and try to finish it before bedtime. I'm not sure if I can do away with my morning cup of decaf tea but I can increase my water intake.

I think that sounds like a good idea Hampton! We all have our habits and weaknesses so I don't think we should make ourselves miserable by forbidding ourselves the comforts of coffee and/or tea (or lemonade in my case Wink) as long as we do the best we can to finish our goal amount of water each day.

Okay...I've been MIA...sorry. So this is what's been going on. I have only 1/2 of an 8oz glass of a Margarita and 1/2 cup of juice since I posted last . Now having said that I have been up and down with my water. Just real busy...so I had to get back on track when I realized that I didn't have any water Sunday. I could tell I was dehydrated so I had to take drastic measures.

Now....this my goal is to take 4 bottles of water to work and I drink 1 bottle every 2 hrs. Have I done that Monday...no, but Tuesday I was on it I had 3 bottles of water, same Wednesday..I tell you I've been going to the restroom like I have a bladder problem. This may be too much information but my urine is almost clear. (sorry but I just had to share)

Today I only had 2 bottles...then I had a 4oz cup of tea. We are celebration Employee Recognition Month and I ordered food for my department. I so forgot about the water...so I only drank 2 bottles today... Sad

I promise to do better tomorrow. and hopeful we can all met our goal!!!

Remember it takes 21 days to create/establish a habit...so we should all be drinking 64 oz by June 4th!! LOL

I think you're doing a good job KNH! Things happen to all of us but the important thing is to get back on track, which you are. And yes, drinking water will make your urine clear and that's a good thing. I've always heard and read that you should be able to read print through your urine.

This weekend I didn't drink as much water as I should have but I always dilute my cranberry/pomagranate juice with water. This morning I decided to start my day by bringing my water bottle to work and hopefully finishing it by the end of the day before Zumba class this evening. Wish me luck.

Well...I did okay last week, but this weekend I didn't drink very much water. For some reason I didn't get in what I needed. I didn't drink any other breverage, just not enough water. So....today so far I've had 2 bottles of water. Trying to get that 3rd one in me before I leave work.

Hey JCurl...

I did okay..I had some tea Saturday 1/2 can and mango tea Sunday 8oz. (graduation parties)

The rest of the time I manage to drink water, but I didn't drink enough. I know that this challenge has made me more aware of the need to drink water, and not only that I haven't had any soda...no I had 8oz at a Phase 10 party on May 21st.

So, where I may not have accomplished the goal of drinking 8 to 10 cups of water a day, I am consuming more water now than before.

Not only that I am on a fast with my church drill team until June 16th...no soda!! So this is not going to end for me until then. However, I do get to add a juice drink here and there!!

Good for you KNH that you are at least recognizing and doing what you can to make changes!

My weekend....I drank water....in between sweet teas and wine coolers...but I feel like drinking water is becoming less of an effort and more of a habit for me!

Thanks! I'm chugging away at this water right now. About 1/2 of the bottle gone so far! This bottle is bigger than I though. And I'm getting a good arm workout lifting it and putting it back down [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
