i haven't updated in like a week because a.) nothings really exciting about a WnG b.) i'm not really feelin my hair as of late... it was acting real funny and not responding to products like it use to...i trimmed a few pieces and that helped a little bit but not really...and idk what i did but for a minute my hair felt like cheap barbie hair in the back, and on the left in the front its a patch of hair near my edges (idk if its "scab hair" or what) but it feels like some 4z hair that doesnt retain moisture at all for more than 5 minutes...it was always drier and less curly than the rest but it got worse sometimes its all wiry like a brillo pad. i was co-washing more often b/c i thought my hair would be more moist, but its actually getting drier i think. my mom only co-washes about once a week and her hair is not as dry as mine and it seems like its growing faster too. so i think i'm gonna try co-washing only once or twice a week now...oh and the other day i picked out 2 day old WnG and wore my hair out the house in a little afro (as opposed to a defined WnG). i never thought i would do that cuz i always said my hair was too short to wear in a fro like that, but it was kinda cute.

When is the last time you shampooed/clarified?

i shampooed with a mix of giovanni 50:50 and castile soap and i think i put too much of the castile soap in there (even tho i diluted it) over a week ago...and i didnt DC afterwards which is a big no no but i was short on time...lastnight i cowashed w/ aussie moist & i DC'd with lustrasilk cholesterol and used heat for about 20 minutes and left it in overnight...i didnt rinse it out yet but i hope it helps

i rinsed out the lustrasilk cholesterol and my hair feels pretty ok so all is not lost lol. i usually shake the water out a lil and then put my products in but since im gonna go to sleep soon n i didnt want to sleep with a wet head i decided to dry my hair with a t-shirt b4 i put the products in. i probably wont do that again.

b4 i rinsed out the conditioner (it was super smushed cuz i had on a plastic cap under a scarf all day):

oh & have yall seen the youtuber longhairdontcare2011? =O i want her length...but then again i know i probably wouldnt be able to handle all of that...it is gorgeous though...she said she blowdries once a month and flat irons about 2x a year...at first im like thats not alot really...but then i thought she's been natural for 6 yrs so she's used heat like 84 times!...thats alot to me...you can tell her hair is "trained" and she even said it...and trained to me = damaged. her curl pattern has loosened into more like waves now instead of curls but it still looks really good in braid/twist outs.

Agreed. A girl from my elementary school graduating class (lol) has AMAZING hair. It's probably the same length, if not longer, than Longhairdontcare's. She had a freaking WAIST LENGTH ponytail when I saw her a few weeks back I wish we had been in the same class in 5th grade, so I could ask for some hair tips cause her moms hair is long too!

but this mornin my hair was feelin so soft and moisturized and luxurious that i had immediate HIH syndrome...and then started playin around with it thinkin i could try n do coils like i really know what im doing...this is y i dont need to try new things right now lol i dont like it but i dnt have anywhere important to go so im just gonna leave it

i used ecostyler and raw shea on dry hair (i spritzed a lil with distilled water)

Next time you try coils, do them smaller. Hope this helps.

Your curls are beautiful. I agree with Lynn. When your hair is shorter you have to do the coils MUCH smaller. You can try separating the curls now and it should look like a cute roller set. A head full of curls.

ok i didnt have to wash my hair this morning which means i got to school a few minutes early and had time to snap some pics in the car. i know yall have seen my WnG b4 but i was bored...plus i rarely get 2day WnGs that still look nice. i now know the key to stretching WnGs...baggy at night. i used to do it when i 1st BCd like 2x a week, but i fell off. but now im going to do it probably everynight. i just spritz with my new random concoction spray and seal with an oil then put a plastic cap on and then my bonnet or scarf.

the spray i made really moisturizes good and defines. it was totally unplanned. i usually mix HETT and water in a spray bottle which i use to refresh my curls when theyre looking parched, but i only have a few squirts left, so i used HEHH instead. then a couple of days later i was gonna make my 'hair lemonade' but i didnt feel like emptying/cleaning another spray bottle so i just poured some aloe vera gel into the HEHH/water mix. then i put a couple drops of tea tree oil in b/c i think its a preservative, then i put enough drops of lemon EO to cover the smell of the TTO, & then i thought i probably need a carrier oil in their so i squeezed some drops of my castor/olive mix in there for good measure.

anywho this morning i just spritzed with plain distilled water and rubbed in a little cantu shea butter leave in & elasta qp feels like silk. i forgot to seal but i'll probably do that when i get out of class and go home.
