Hi JossBella,

Thank you for the words of encouragement. I am going to ask a weird question...How do you do a bun? I am use to pulling by hair back into and funky ponytail, but I would love to learn how to do a nice bun. Like I said I am very new at doing my own hair, but the exploration is a lot of fun. Very Happy

You're welcome. The bun I do is makeshift because my hair is different lengths and although my hair is thick, I can't get a full bun to look right yet. But here is a link to youtube tutorials on buns.
Just search on youtube. You can also do a phony pony bun or donut bun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuwMazjC-Cg&feature=fvsr

Hey guys! I'm a little shy of my 6 months but it seems like it has been forever. It's kinda like watching water boil or grass grow. I'm not going back to a relaxer though. I've been doing twist outs for the longest and although I love them, its been coming out like orphan Annie. Lol I'm so tempted to BC but I've always wanted long hair. Guess trasitioning is all about patience.

I made 6 months post relaxer today!! I love all the things I'm learning about my hair. However, these ends are driving me nuts, and I'm pretty sure I'll be BCing before I make the 1-year mark...lol

@ForTheLoveOfRee - did you cut your hair for Christmas?

Hey everyone! As of Jan. It will be 6 months for. So far so good, I have had my AWFUL days but honestly it has been fun. As my new growth come in my hair get bigger and bigger!! And fluffing it out (once I do a roll set) is soo much fun with head bands!! I've been going back and forth with the BC so I am going to get some braids at the end of the month just to give myself a break. As far as DC I am experimenting so far i love love love Herbal esscense hello hydration and organic root stimulator: olive oil replenishing pack; also herbal esscence sleek and shine leave in conditioner is a MUST HAVE!! I've stopped using heat since I decided to transition. Detangling is a hassle!! I use a detangling comb. My staple style is flexi-rods, perm rods, and 2-strand twist Smile but sometimes my hair gets tangled after a couple of day with the twist outs (any suggestions) also in the pics I will post I have Major shrinking with my twist outs (any suggestions for that too ^_^)

Finally made it 6 months!! This last month seems to have gone by so slowly, and since I'm scissor happy lately I'm working really hard to resist the urge to BC. Hopefully the next few months fly by quickly bounce

I am 6 months out from my relaxer. I finally know what folks were talking about dealing with 2 textures. My relaxed hair is much longer than my new growth on the top of my head. I'm tired of twist outs but have no patience for my kinky twists again. Come June at the latest, I'm cutting these ends off. Just bought an afro puff so I can rock that for a while . Might do a mini chop today....idk, just mad Mad But at least my hair is healthy dance
