New 2 CURLY NIKKI-Seeking BIG SIS

Hi,

I have been Natural for about 7 years, but I have been flat Ironing my hair and dying to cover GREYS! My hair now is semi-straight with a curly pattern in the back . . .I have started back twisting and Bantu Knots to blend in withe my Curly hair . . . . just would like a BIG SIS to guide me along the way . . .I am in Atlanta area . . so would like to meet some of the CURLY Sis in the area . . to help me along my "Journey BACK TO CURLY"

I have been using all natural products and no Sulfate . . but I am finding that my hair dries out very fast . . very pretty when I first wash it, but after about 4 days . . I get build up . . My hair seems to LIKE Cream Bases and not so much OILS . . just a little not a lot. CAN A BIG SIS . .Help me OUT! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I notice some some of the Indian Herbs make my hair STINKY and Itchy! after two days. I also deep condish with Yogurt, Molasses, Eggs, Spuiralina Powder, Flax seed Oil, Jojoba, Grapeseed Oil mixed with Giovanni SMooth As Silk every two weeks . .I had a lot of shedding and breakage due to a very bad dye job at the Dominican Salon back in fall of 2009 . . hair not shedding anymore

When you write your hair dries out very quickly, are you referring to it feeling dry to the touch or once wet it doesn't take long to dry?

It feels very dry after it dries from washing . . .Like the luster is gone after three to 4 days, it's not shiney anymore even if I put products on it.

How often do you DC? What do you use to DC?

What do you use to moisturize (water based) and seal?

I DC everytime I wash my hair (Giovonni), because it is very dry . .I moisturize everyday . .this week I added Vegetable Glycerine . .to see if that will help a little . . I seal my ends with Shea Butter, Coconut oil, Raw Honey, Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil mixture that I made, My hair just seems to soak up everything
