Roller set and Trim- NEED ADVICE! Empty Roller set and Trim- NEED ADVICE!

Post by Erica5417 23rd March 2010, 4:19 pm

Ok ladies. I'm going in for a roller set and my first trim since being natural trim (just to try something different). But I am soooo afraid of damaging my coils! What should I do to prepare? What should I avoid? I'll be sitting under a dryer and will not let him use any direct heat (blow dryer, flat iron). Is it even possible to do this without direct heat?

Are you taking your products with you? To answer your question...I don't think its possible to avoid the dryer, you will acutally need the heat to set the hair. But have you looked at MahoganyCurls video? She did a video on roller setting and it looked very simple and easy. You should check it out....

Yes, I'm taking my own products (they said I'm not supposed to but agreed to "turn their heads). I know we have to use the hooded dryer, I just don't want to use a blow dryer.

I have had 2 roller sets and I don't think you have to worry about anything as far as heat damage. As long as you are sitting under a dryer and not blow drying it you should be good.
