new stuff yay!
Quick post here, but remember that box of goodies Nubie sent to me? I finally used all of it lol i think its been about 7-8 months that i had it. So I tried to wash my hair with my moms shampoo + conditioner and when it dried. . . it felt like straw the FIRST thing i told my mom was that i needed new products. Unfortunately i had to pay for my new products out of pocket ( ) but my birthday recently passed so i had some birthday money to spend ( ) I ended up spending 38 bucks on hair products I got Herbal Essences Hello Hydration, Kinky Curly Come Clean, Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque, and Shea Moisture Conditioning Curl & Style Milk. ( Im not sure why i got the Kinky Curly shampoo instead of the Shea Moisture one but whatever lol). So far i like everything everything but the curl & style milk . . . because i LOVE IT!!! immediately after applying it my hair got softer and curlier even this stuffs aaaaah-may-zing!
Oh! Speaking of new stuff, the Huetiful Hair Steamer ive requesting for my birthday arrived yesterday! I used it (with the ozone) and my hair felt softer and my hair got ridiculously curly! I need to take some before and after pics next time.

wooow, i can learn a thing or 2 from you! i've yet to finish..anything but im glad u enjoyed it. $38 is pretty good for what u got...u couldve did without the come clean n went with either a cheapie poo like suave's or Hello Hydration (i got the HH poo to go wit the condish) to save u some money! but i dont know how often u shampoo, but u did good.
i need to invest in a steamer myself...happy bday and u've definitely enjoyed it.

Amber Rose
I'm not completely done with my all my school work but um I HAD to stop by to say this: my hair has split ends like CRAZY the worse part about it is that they aren't regular split ends. they're mostly *incomplete split ends. I first saw it in my shed hairs, so i plucked some hairs out of my head (painful by the way ) and four out of the FOUR hairs had incomplete split ends (and one of those four also had the regular split ends. Also, I so a ridiculous amount of single strand knots . I knew it was time for a trim but this is just ridiculous. . . Well as implied i might bc again. And by bc i mean ALL of it (hence Amber Rose) because the splits are SO high on my strands. Honestly I don't mind cutting my hair so short ( I'm actually pretty excited! ). One downside: I was planning on dying my hair this weekend but since I'm going to cut my hair Ill have to wait again lol. I think I got all the split ends because 1. I wng once a week and don't do anything with it through-out the week, and 2. I admit:I do NOT moisturize my hair as much as I should. My hair was probably ok with it before because it wasn't as long so it didn't get tangled or need to be moisturized as much. The good thing about this situation though, I already know what products my hair likes and have a set routine (I also have the steamer!) so this bc, I'm at an advantage!

Hey CherryE.....
I'm so behind. So let me start out with a Belated Birthday wish for you. I hope you had a wonderful day. Also, hang in there...this is the most important year of school for you. I hope by now that you've submitted most of your college applications. (Dec 1st) is the date that most school want the applications in so they can started processing those that meet the scholarship requirements.
Now lets discuss your hair....thanks for posting that picture about split ends. Now I'm going to research the cause of the different types of split ends. I've never heard of incomplete split ends, and now I'm very curious about the cause and effects of such. WOW....you learn something everyday. Thanks so much for sharing.
I'm using a friend's steamer and I love it!!! BC'ing again is not so bad, and it's less work. Can't wait to see your second BC pictures.
Take care......

teenatty: Thanks and I can't wait to read ours as well! Its always nice to see everyone's reason for going natural.
naturallychelsea: Thank you and OMG I WAS GOING TO DONATE TO LOCKS OF LOVE TOO!!! I know that I prefer my hair short (around-my-chin-length) so I was going to grow my hair out as much as I can ([at least before it became a bothersome length] because I've never had long hair) then I was going to donate it.
sweetdrk1: Thank you
Lynnieluve: Thanks
Freestyles: lol thanks. At first I couldn't figure out how I was going to cut my hair evenly without a second mirror but I kinda had to feel around and cut two fingers from my head but idk if i can cut other peoples hair, i'd be too afraid of getting yelled at for cutting too much lol.

Re: Cherry: extraordinary!
Thanks everyone! and Nubie, I guess I could still dye it I was just waiting before because I wasn't sure if I was going to Bleach it or not (and if I did I'd need some length to grab on to lol). Im lookin at manic panic though, since its not that harmful (and comes in so many crazy colors! ) but hmm I don't know if ill ever make it to 10 inches either lol I never got past 6 inches. Well now that I have a good cause at hand, maybe that'll drive me to finally get my hair to that length

HI!
Quick updates:
~I didnt get my nanas sewing machine yet but I have mine so ive been working on other things.
~After I cut my hair, its been doing better than it has ever been! Its really soft and seems to be growing faster than before (although the speedy growth could just be my imagination)
~I dyed my hair! can you guess what color? . . . brown! knowing my obsession with unnatural colors, who woulda though Id dye it a few shades off of what my hair already was lol. (Ill make sure to post some pics soon.
Also, i hope everyone had a great Holiday! Mine was nice, my great grandma and aunt died over the break but im doing alright.
