Flexi Rods and Perm Rods

Post by elleeccentric on 8th February 2010, 9:23 pm

Hello curlies,

So i've been thinking about doing a flexi-rod or perm-rod set and i've been watching you-tube videos to see how its done. On many occasions I see that people use this thin white paper over the rod as they are rolling their hair up. Does anyone know why this thin sheet of paper is used and if it makes a big difference if its not used?

Those are end papers. Some people use them to make the ends smoother against the roller so your ends can look silkier

Hi yes I have done a rollerset and the end papaers are vital...that was the only way I could keep my hair straight enough to get around the roller. I have done regular rollers below you will see the outcome...

I hope this helps you decide and with each end papers were used

The end papers are good for keeping your ends from getting frizzy. I use them every time I use rollers and I personally believe that they keep moisture in your ends too (I apply shea butter to my ends before rolling).

Thanks ladies and second that, Sweet your curls look AWSOME!! any special technique of how you did them? Did you use a hooded dryer to dry or let them air dry?
I'm assuming that these end papers can be purchases at most beauty supply stores.
