@Lynnieluve Thanks I will do that. I will probably try it mid week when I co-wash.

Nothing new to report on my hair. I really haven't done much at all.

I did do a little detangling on my girls hair today enough and I put some EVCO on their hair so we can wash it tomorrow. They have school pics on Thursday and I am still deciding on a style. The issues is on Wednesday they have dance class after school, then homework, dinner and showers. So I am leaning towards twist but they get frizzy sometimes and we have done that b4. I may just go with a basic cornrow than try to find some pretty hair accessories this week.

Since there hair is on the to do list for tomorrow I probably won't get to my hair. However it feels dirty like I have alot of build-up I haven't had that feeling in a long time. I normally DC on Sundays. If I get up early enough tomorrow maybe I will co-wash then DC on Tuesday.

Do you do your twist on wet or dry hair? Does the ORS work well on dry hair or slightly damp hair? I was considering blow drying a little and then twisting. I have a lot of shrinkage and I wanted to try that this week for a change. I haven't used heat on my hair since November.

Well I cowashed my hair today with Suave Coconut and BH Moisture Maniac. I put some EVOO on and Giovanni Leave In, then I left it alone to work on my daughters hair. So it is kinda hard and dry now. I am gonna but my castor oil mix on and try the ORS twist & lock gel.

As far as my girls I did box braids (that is what they wanted, they love the box braids) I am gonna go to see if I can find some pretty hair accessories tomorrow so they will be ready for their school pics on Thursday.

Last night I did my twist with ORS lock & twist gel. I had to spritz each section of my hair with water first because it was dry and kinda hard, also a little tangled.

This morning I put some almond oil on fingers and took the twist out while I was watching the Today show. It felt crunchy but well defined. When I looked in the mirror I was not pleased and did not what I was going to do with my hair since I had to leave in an hour to volunteer at my daughter's school.

Anyway I put some QB Amla & Olive heavy cream on, that seemed to help soften it a little bit. I kept messaging my hair and scalp. I put some shea butter on my edges and then but on a head band. I took my pick and gently lifted some area.

My curl definition was the best of any product. My hair looked good all day. I had a lot less shrinkage by the end of the day. My hair remains somewhat crunchy however I like the way it looks. I am sure I will use it again I just have to determine the right amount to use. Also I cowashed yesterday I want to see the results after a deep conditioner. I will probably try to blow dry it a little also before I use it again so I can have the length and hopefully avoid the shrinkage.

A few days ago when I woke up in the morning and did my normal routine of putting product on and than massaging my hair and scalp I had some random hairs land on my bathroom counter. I have read about shedding versus breakage however for now my hair is so thick I tend not to get overly concerned because
1) I have always had a lot of shedding ( it's alot less now than when I had a relaxer) Anewme223 - Page 4 678474
2) My hair is so thick and tightly coiled I think it almost impossible if I place any type of comb or my fingers in my hair. I have always loved to comb my hair so I can feel the air and a release on my scalp. My mother tells me that my grandmother had to cut one of her sister's hair when they were young because she would get headaches cause her hair was so thick and long.

Anyway I have been researching hair curl patterns and water and the porosity of hair? My hair has never absorbed water well. Depends on how much product I have on my hair water almost runs over it at times. I am hoping this information will help me to determine the best products for my hair also.

Here is a pic of the hairs that were on the counter. My hair is about 3 inches (I think) but when they fell on the counter they remained in a circle (lol).
