Re: Anewme223
Well not much to post on my hair. Last night I put some almond oil then shea butter, put my scarf on and went to bed. This morning I left the scarf on while I was in the shower ( I usually wet my hair in the shower). When I got out a took the scarf off and just ran my hand over my hair (which was still soft from the QB I used Friday). The curls popped right back up. I was like WOW!!!, I think I have really turned a corner. I put a tiny bit of QB olive & honey balm on, some shea butter on top ran my fingers through it again.
My scalp is starting to itch now, so I will probably co wash tomorrow and retwist.
I can't decide though what products I should use though. My hair feels so good I don't want to lose this feeling. In reading the post I discovered all this time I have not been cowashing correctly. I would just co-wash with with Aussie Moist or HE HH, I wouldn't use a light and heavy conditioner. Also since I only ordered a sample size QB Amla & Olive I probably only have enough for one more time so do I use it tomorrow or do I wait until wash and dc this weekend to use it? Also which 2 conditioners do I use?
Since I have seen such a change in my hair now I am hesitant to try just anything.
Any suggestions experts?

My light conditioner is a cheapie conditioner. VO5 Strawberry n cream I think. My thick conditioner is my beloved Aussie Moist.

Okay...so I have Suave Natural Coconut maybe I will start with that. So then I have to decide between HE HH, Aussie Moist or BedHead Moisture Maniac? All of which I have used in the past and liked..Decisions, decisions...

Re: Anewme223
Your perm rodded twists look really good.
As far as conditioners, I have used VO5, Suave coconut & apple, HE HH and Aussie Moist. I think it is based on preference, no right or wrong. I prefer thinner conditioners like VO5 for cowashing.

Re: Anewme223
I cowashed today with Suave Naturals Coconut and then Aussie Moist. I used GiovannI Leave in mixed with some EVOO as my leave-in. I let it air dry for awhile and then I did two-strand twist with QB BurdocK Root Creme. I got about half way done and then I had to leave to pick up my girls from school, give them a snack and then they had dance class. I put a silk scarf on under my hat while I was out. By the time I finished my evening stuff (dinner, showers, bedtime story). My hair was dry. So I spritz it with my aloe mix and finished twisting. Then I put some perm rods in.
Tomorrow I will take the rods out and try to leave the twist in all day. Since my hair is so short I always take my twist out the next day but I would like to see what they would look like after a couple days in also to protect my hair from my hands for awhile (lol).

Thanks! I got a huge bottle of BH from Ulta when they had a sale awhile back (I was concerned because I had never used it). I am glad I got the big bottle now. I really like it. It work well on my daughters hair also which is always plus.

Re: Anewme223
I took the perm rods out this morning and put a scarf and hat on to do my running around. I am going to put the perm rods back in to night because it seems some of the twist were flattened. I am excited though because I have never left them in for more than a night so I can't wait to see how my hair came out.
Well the PJ in me strikes again!. I went to the local natural store which I knew I had NO business going there. I got jojoba oil, rosemary oil, lemon oil and vegetable glycerin. I'm not what mixture I will make yet. I did resist the conditioners (cause I have SOOO many already).
Anyone have any mixes recipes..please feel free to share.

Did you take any pics?
Yeah I feel that way about WNG's. If I don't twist my hair at least it just looks like an afro which is okay but after 3 months I need a change. It still not long enough to me to just where the twist and I am so anticipating that day.
I will post pics tomorrow night of the results.
Re: Anewme223
Well this morning I finally took my twist out. This was the longest I have kept them in. It looks like nice and mostly importantly my hair is soft and feels good. I put almond oil on my fingers to take the twist out, I then put some QB Olive & Honey on then some shea butter, about a quarter size of each.
It rained here today and I got a little wet. A little while ago I spritz my hair with my aloe mix (aloe vera juice, distilled water, peppermint eo and tea tree eo). When I looked in the mirror later my hair had really shrunk. I am just gonna sleep with a scarf or bonnet tonight.
Curl definition is really good but still had a lot of frizz. Kinda concerned about some of the ends I am seeing in the pics I took. I bought some ORS lock & twist gel so I will probably use it in a few days. I am not sure if I should mix it with someone to help with any hardness I mght have.

I just read you should not use rosemary oil if you have high blood pressure. Well, I do, so I guess I won't be using it, but I am not sure what I will do with it since I broke the seal so I could smell.]]

Your t/o turned out very nice. I love Qhemet products...my staple product for the winter. As the weather warms up...I think Oyin will work better for me. I need to order their whip pudding so I can combine that with my shine and define for my twist.
I don't know if it's my computer or not...but I can see all of your pictures, but what I can see are nice.

When using the ORS Lock and Twist gel, know that a little goes a long way. My suggestion would be to wait until your twist dry to see if they are hard/crunchy. If so, then add something to them.
