Stunting growth? Empty Stunting growth?

Post by jlowman1 6th January 2010, 2:22 pm

I recently big chopped and I have been cowashing my hair everyday. Could all this cowashing be bad in the long run and hindering my growth? How much is too much? Are there any products that can help with curl definition?

if you are using good product, cowashing can only be good for your hair...do you seal your ends? Are your strands well moisturized? Hair needs a clean, healthy scalp to grow..ends need moisture to stay

Im using Suave Tropical Coconut Conditioner and I seal with EVOO or Shea Butter... The only time my hair feels dry is in the morning when i wake up.

have you tried the herbal essence conditioner? I usually cowash in the mornings with Suave Trop. Coco and use herbal essence totally twisted or HH as a leave in and then seal....my hair feels moisturized all day when I do this...

are you sleeping on a satin pillowase? Cotton can really dry out your hair...

but it really shouldnt be a problem though (daily cowashing) in my opinion...in fact, some people reccommend washing daily to HELP growth...

hope this helps =D

Yes I've tried Hello Hydration and I liked it for awhile and then it started making my hair feel like it had alot of buildup, Im guessing due to the cone in it.

& I bought a satin cap to sleep in...

Thanks for all your help, I'll try the HH as a leave in next time!

I think that would really depend on you and your hair! If you cowash everyday you are at greater risk of 'over' manipulating your strands as it gets longer. But if you're extra gentle and you notice it works for you then go for it! Try a month or 2 cowashing every day and then try cowashing less often for a few months and see which one your hair works better with.

And definitely do the satin pillowcase or satin cap - it's a life saver!
