Well, ladies I'm on my way 2 declaring that I, too, am a Hennacan! (LOL) I've applied my henna - Jamila (June 2010), green tea, sugar, & honey - and now .... we wait. And I thought I was impatient for my BC!! Smile So far so good, but only time will tell...what time is it anyway?? Very Happy

Alrighty, so, as I wait I'd like 2 share a little something in relation 2 my experience. I've heard how messy henna can be and I can admit that mine was pretty "soupy" - not sure if I added too much liquid, but this is my 1st attempt so I have time 2 adjust my recipe. I was hoping it wouldn't be too messy being that I have a TWA & all, so that made me think: What could I use 2 apply the henna?? *Aha* I have an applicator! Basically, its a cleaned out caramel ice cream topping squeeze bottle (Smuckers 2 be precise). I thought it was great because its not only a squeeze bottle, but its NO-DRIP! Say what?? *applause* Yep, no-drip & it works. Not only that, I can store the unused henna in the bottle right in the freezer because the top snaps closed.

I know it's not a product, but oooh I'm getting that "new product find" giddiness! LOL Or is that a side effect of the henna? I can tell u this: my head is HOT! Like, its probably sweaty, but I have it sealed so well moisture can't escape. I better be careful unwrapping my head in the a.m.

Alrighy ladies, I hope the pics I'm trying 2 post via my BB will actually post. We'll see ... I hope 2 post pre- & post-henna pics soon. Until next time, Stay Blessed ...

U most certainly can borrow "hennacan" - u don't even need 2 return it! (LOL).

For whatever reason, I'm unable 2 upload photos from my phone so I'll edit my 1st post & add the pics I wanted 2 include initially.

Lastly, does henna smell like canned asparagus 2 anyone else?
Smile

Alrighty! Here are the pics that I wanted to share with you all ... they're nothing special, but hey! As I stated before, the applicator I used made application so easy - once I put the henna on, I used my hands to distribute it. Worked out pretty well, in my opinion.

An applicator bottle! What a great idea! Did it eliminate the messiness? Did you put the henna in the bottle after dye release or before?

Hey Jo!
The applicator bottle made it SO easy to apply the henna and I didn't leave a drop anywhere (other than my head!). It was great. Since this was my first time henna'ing and using the applicator bottle, I can't really compare it to not using it, but I'll still stick with it. I mixed the henna in a square Tupperware bowl and let it sit for 4 hours (for dye release purposes), then I poured the henna into the bottle and applied it from there. The opening of the bottle is pretty big so it was easy to get it all in there - also, I only used 50g of henna since I have a TWA - the mix was more than enough (I have almost half left over). Again, that bottle is actually a ice cream topping container (it had caramel sauce in it); I just cleaned it out really well and saved it. It has a no-drip opening so that's even better. Again, I'm going to keep this until I need another - when that time comes, I'll have a valid excuse to buy more caramel sauce! Very Happy

which brand of henna did you use? I'm curious because depending on the type of henna I haven't heard of one that gets dye release in 4 hours. Types of Henna I've use: Moroccan - 2 hours for dye release, Jamilla - 12 hours for dye release.
