Weekly henna treatments?

I don't know if I read it here, but I have read that some people do weekly henna treatments. I do mine (henna/amla gloss) about monthly, give or take and that's fine. Weekly seems a bit much.

Is there an advantage to doing it weekly? I mean, the time and cost aside, would that be too much of a good thing? How is weekly better than say....monthly?

Carla, it is interesting you raised this point. When I was preparing for my first henna, I mentioned to Khadija from Henna Sooq that I was thinking of doing another henna 7 -10 days after the first. She did not endorse that idea. She mentioned how it is possible to over do it b/c henna cause be drying to the hair and it needs recovery time. So, needless to say, I was a good student and took her recommendation to henna once a month. I believe the excitement to experience the great henna benefits and to reach your color potential is why ppl want to henna so frequently-- henna junkism. Easy to get caught up, I think. Well, that's my 2 cents worth.
