First Real Straightening *pics*
I tried straightening my hair in February and it was just short of a disaster. My roots were fine, but my ends were just... And my technique is terrible.

I thought it was just my technique, but turns out it was that I needed a trim...badly. The only thing that I can recall changing in my routine was introducing the Tangle Teezer. Everything else was the same to include products, protective styling, and techniques. Not pointing fingers, but.....antywhooooo.
He washed and conditioned with Mizani and blowdryed alternating hot and cool air shots. He used a paddle brush. I was pretty much straight with that, but my ends were just like... I could really tell when the rest of my hair was blown straight. I told him to get rid of all of the raggedy ends and shape me up. (I'd also bc'd myself last year and my hair was uneven from that.) I'm more of a fan of healthy ends than length, so scissors don't scare me.
I'm glad those yucky ends are gone. My Tangle Teezer is in garbage and I'm glad to have yet another styling option. I'll mostly be rollersetting though to minimize the need for heat.
Pics are Day 3 hair.

Your hair looks great. Yeah I'm with you on health over length any day. There's nothing worse than floating by thinking you're cute with chewed up ends. What a mess....

Your hair looks GREAT!! So shiny and healthy looking.
Another Tangle Teezer bites the dust!! I only used mine twice. I shelved it because of what you stated above. People that have been using it for a few months where experiencing more single strand knots and split ends. No tangle teezer for my precious kinks

Thanks, ladies! FOR ME, that Tangle Teezer may have been too good to be true.
