Curly Kids Hair Types
I have a 3b girl, 4a/b girl and a 4b/c boy. I just started the Tightly Curly Method on my two daughters and I'm loving it! I don't have to spend lots of money on products! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I didn't realize that I had already been to her site before. I wasn't aware of what it was called though. Pretty cool, and she didn't have a book out when I went to her site way back when. Good for her!

Everything is subject to change though. I would love to eventually switch her to all natural products. Right now we only have a few staples. Trial & error.

I hear you NikG20. I'm trying to go as natural as possible so I can give both my girls' hair a chance to grow.
Re: Curly Kids Hair Types
My daughter is 3 and she is probably 3c/4a. I have a bunch of her hairstyles that I have done posted on my Butters and Bars Challenge post. I wash and style her hair on Saturday nights using Giovanni Tea Tree Sham and condish and HE HH as a leave in, detangle with a denman and usually do something with rubberbands ( that I soak in olive oil). I style with coconut oil and ORS Lock and Twist Gel. I have to thank NikG - her blog has helped me a lot. I cowash and style her hair again on Wed night (these are bath nights!) and I use coconut suave to cowash and do everything else the same except whatever style I use I don't use rubberbands to give her hair a rest. (box braids, twists etc) I also try to deep condish once a month and baking soda rinse her every two weeks. I am trying to go no cones/water soluable cones only with her like myself. She gets a lot of compliments on her hair so I'm glad I have one of us squared away about the head! The back of her hair is very short and one side is longer than the other so that is my focus - growth and retaining length. So even if I use rubberbands - I will often just twist the back where it is short.

Hello everyone! I am new to the CN Forum. I have a 9 month old baby girl Corigan Rae and am expecting a baby boy (Due April 22nd 2010)! I currently use the Tightly Curly Method on Corigan and I absolutely LOVE IT! Now I do have one question...how do you determine someones "hair type"?

Kids hair is very hard to manage and I can 't get any enough guide from anywhere?
If anyone have best and good idea then share it as soon as possible.
