Henna for Transitioners

Hey Ladies...I have been reading so much about Henna and the great things it can do for your hair. I think I finally made a decision on what type of henna I am going to buy (that is after I check my local indian market to see what they have) I am still transitioning and I was just wondering if its a good idea to use henna while transitioning???

I'm in my first month of transitioning and i've hennaed 3 times so far. Doing another this weekend hopefully!

Has it changed the texture of your hair at all...I have the week of next week and I hope to henna for the 1st time....

it has defintely changed my texture. With my relaxer my hair used to curl a bit when wet. Since the henna treatments, my hair has been absolutely straight (except for the little bit of new growth i have of course!). I saw a difference the fisrt time i used henna.

I definitely have to try Henna. Did it give the red tint to your hair?

@Curlylea thats what I am scared of with henna...i dont want my hair texture to change. My straights ends will become even straighter...idk...i still think I am gonna give it a try this weekend
