Whipped Shea Mixture Smell Empty Whipped Shea Mixture Smell

Post by Brwnsugar24 24th March 2011, 9:01 am

Ok so last night I was so excited to whip up my first batch of my own Shea butter mixture. I used about 1 tsp coconut oil, 1 tsp of Shea butter (maybe more LOL) 1 tsp of castor oil, jojoba oil, olive oi, and vitamin E (I was using Naptural85's recipe) and blended that all together with my hand mixer. It came out nice and fluffy and really moisturizing but my only problem is it has an awful smell to it. Any suggestions or does anyone else experience this?

you can add an oil like rosemary oil or sweet orange oil to mask the smell

I will definitely try that. Thank goodness I only made a small batch of my first mixture.
