Okay my order arrived

Post by laleepop14 on 14th March 2011, 11:00 am

Hello all!!

I recently ordered some products and want to know how everyone else uses them.

Let's start with Oyin
-Burnt Sugar Pomade
-Shine and Define
-Honey Dew

Afroveda
-PUR whipped Jelly
-Totally Twisted
-Shea Amla

How does everyone use these products if you do use them?

I love the honey dew as a refresher and the smell is to die for!!! I also use the pomade for my edges and to give a little shine for my lilttle girls braids and edges. But haven't experimented with the other things. What should I use for braid outs, or twists??

I use the BSP as a sealer since it has oils in it
The shine and define i use after I co-wash. it defines my curls, but i believe you can also twist ewith it for definition
Afroveda totally twisted, i did 2 strand twist with them, awesome!

I'm also curious about the Oyin products, do they work for WnG's and if so how, and what products would you use. I'm thinking of tryin the Oyin line after I exhaust my Kinky Curly product haul.

Thanks Crissyq!!! I actually used the BSP and some afroveda shea amla to twist my hair last night. The twists looked so good I didnt want to take them out this a.m. So I threw on a bonnet since its still a little chilly down here in Jerzee.

So I will definitely take pictures and post them of the twist and twist out (when I eventually take them down) I might even wait until Thursday and retwist them into smaller sections. Who knows??

Thanks again!!

Let's start with Oyin
-Burnt Sugar Pomade Used to hold down edges

-Shine and Define Tried for WnG, could not quite get it right.

-Honey Dew

Afroveda
-PUR whipped Jelly Used with Totally Twisted for two strand twists and flat twist outs, <3 it! If I remember correctly, it worked great for my WnGs. It has been a couple of years.

-Totally Twisted Used with PUR whipped Jelly to do twists and flat twists. It is super moisturizing!

-Shea Amla
