Nightly Routine and Moisture Retaining Faves??
So, I recently BC'd, and lately I have been obsessed with my hair! I've been rinsing it almost every day and applying leave in conditioner, I have been co washing once/twice a week, and shampooing and deep conditioning once a week. I seal my hair with coconut oil.
I know consistently rinsing my hair is also rinsing out moisture; I just like how my hair feels wet! It's so soft as it starts to dry, but when it dries completely it loses some of that lush feel. I have minimized my obsession with using a spritz bottle about three times a day, just water. And I massage my scalp after spritzing on the water. I sleep on a satin pillowcase at night, nothing more. I want to hear from you ladies: what is your favorite regimen to retain soft hair?, what do you suggest for a weekly hair routine (for TWA)?, and how do you keep you hair at night? Looking forward to responses!!

You should check out the thread for MahoganyCurls in the CurlFriends section. She offers a lot of great advice.
From what I remember of my TWA, it was very dry. And just as yours, water made it softer. Water is your friend. In my opinion, with a TWA, you can never rinse too much. Water is where majority of your moisture comes from. You should also DC like it is going out of style. I would DC 2/week, sometimes more if I had time, co-wash daily and seal with a light oil. I used a light oil because I didn't want anything heavy that wasn't going to let moisture seek through during my next co-wash.

Thanks I'll deep condition more. I can try co-washing more but I'm afraid of buildup because I use KCCC. It doesn't come out with plain conditioner. I use Design Essentials conditioner. Maybe I should buy a natural clarifying conditioner? But I don't want to strip my hair of moisture. Any tips? Or did you find any curl defining products that did not leave build up? I've been wanting to try Shea Butter CE Smoothie. Have you tried it? Did it leave build up? And thanks I'll check out MahoganyCurls.

I have type 4c hair. Super kinky. I always found that washing my hair more than once a week made it dry. Now that my hair is a bit longer, I wash once every two to three weeks.
Back when I had a TWA I would use a cream moisturizer every other day and call it good.
At night, I would use a satin scarf (which I still do)...
HTH
You are Looking fierce amchang!!!

@fanmnatirel. Thanks for the compliment!
I tried something new today after my shower. I co-washed with my Design Essentials. Applied my KCNT, then applied my coconut oil. After I moisturized and sealed I applied my KCCC last, I kept my hair moist throughout the application with a spray bottle full of a water/ Design Essential Leave-in moisturizer mix. And my hair feels completely different than it did before! It's so much softer! I used to seal after applying my KCCC. Who knew such a small change can make such a huge difference in results. Plus my curls popped much better! From now on I'm sealing right after applying my leave-in moisturizer.

Good tip. Thanks! I found out my Design Essentials is full of silicones. So I'm on a hunt for a new and more natural shampoo and conditioner!
