BEWARE OF...

FEATHERS. The craziest thing happened to me.

A few days ago, I noticed a sore spot and a raised bump on my scalp. My godmom had recently braided my hair, and I swear it was so tight, I looked suprised for a few days. I naturally assumed the sore spot was because the braids were too tight.

Last night I took out my hair and prepared to henna it. After hennaing, washing, DCing, I was ready to style. As I got to the top of my hair to part to make twists, I noticed something sticking out of my scalp. It was orange from the henna, but it was too thick to be hair. I had to do some work to single out the "strand". I could not believe that I pulled a feather directly out of my scalp. The piece that had been in my scalp was white, and the tip was orange from the henna.

I was shocked and disgusted at the same time. How crazy is that? It came from my feather pillow that I sleep on and had to come through the pillowcase and then through my bonnet.

What's the craziest thing that has happened to your hair?

Went to the beach with my BF who wanted to smoke. I was laying on his lap at the time. After awhile I was like you finished smoking and he said yes. I was like that is strange because I still smell the weed. All the way home from the beach I was still smelling the weed and mentioning it and since I don't smoke it was becoming increasingly annoying. Later as I am combing my hair I find the end of his blunt. I asked him if he knew he had dropped it in my hair and he said yea but he was afraid to tell me. ugghhh

@ Remillard(sorry i cld help but lol,i wld be livid too)...hope it didn't burn ur hair.

Hey fellow Philly girl MelMelB!!! I'm going to have to keep my feather pillows at the bottom of the stack so I don't wake up with a few in my head, was it painful when you pulled it out?

I don't have a story either but the weed one, I was concerned, he should have said something what if it was still lit and burned your hair? Thank God it didn't!

So this Monday (Monday Schmonday :-/) ..as many others,my protective style of choice at the moment is a half wig...I call her Connie...very curly, fun but neat.
So I'm walking down the hallway at my job as I usually do to get to my desk and all of a sudden my hair gets caught on the wall lamp!
Smh im 6"1 so that's how that's possible lol.
I must've been walking hard because I was yanked back as if someone had grabbed me(like those black mama snatches )lol .I tried to be a quiet as possible as I tried to inconspicuously unravel it around the screw....until my delivery man/co worker sees me and says in his Spanish accent "What chu doin ther girl"..lol I had to admit I was stuck to the lamp(I CAN NOT MAKE THIS STUFF UP!)As he laughs he then tippy toes and unscrews the screw to set my poor head free...lol
I was too cool to be embarrassed...lol but it made my not so Cool Monday cool.How?Lol Sometimes God allows you to laugh at yourself.

So I'm walking around all day with my hair blowing in the wind thinking I'm cute. I'm out hours later at a outdoor cafe and a spider starts coming down a web out of my hair and right in front of my face. Or course I was out in public. I am very arachnophobic and ended up doing a bit of a song and dance...

Another time I was walking and my hair got caught in a tree branch.

@Luscious: Hey Philly Sista!!!!! No, it didn't hurt when I pulled it out... but the spot is still a little sore, I'll have my mom look at it to make sure it's nothing else stuck in there...I was scared to go to sleep last night...LOL

LOL at the wind blowing a spider in your hair (dying)...LOL

Well not my hair but, a few years back. I got goddess braids, hated the length in the front. Got home cut them and one got free and plopped right on my eyelid. yeah a nice burn and aloe vera was rescuing me.
