2nd Big Chop Empty 2nd Big Chop

I need some advice ladies. I am really leaning towards cutting all my hair off. Sunday marks my first anniversary of being natural. I am excited, but I feel like it is time for a change. I love my hair, but since being natural I realized I am not attached to my hair as I once believed. When I first big chopped I was so self-conscious it was ridiculous. And here I am now ready to shave my head. Any thoughts?

Hello! First thought: You look like Jordin Sparks. Second thought: I can't give you too much advice about cutting your hair, but a couple of ladies took the plunge and decided to BC again with no regrets (see Sweetdrk1's curl street journal--awesome). If you're bored, you should try a different style/technique that you've never tried before. If you are really unsure about cutting, you can also try cutting off a little to see how you feel about it. If you don't like it, at least it's not too drastic.

In the end, only you can decide if you should cut your hair or not because you'll be the one caring for it. Btw, mentioned that you felt "ridiculous" during your first BC. Was that because your hair was really short or because you had no idea what to do with it?

I had a problem just not knowing how to style it. Now I am bored with my hair. I think I want a change because of just the timing in my life. I feel like am about to begin a new journey in life I.e. graduating from college. I think want to do something drastic I think I ultimately am just wondering if I would look good with no hair lol.

I agree with Fleur, this is a decision only you can make. I personally wouldn't do it because I miss my ponytail too much (still can't make one). But if that's where you are in life, and want a change, go for it. You're young and have a long life of growing ahead of you. It will definitely grow back, but are you really willing to start all over again?

Jackie!! you hair omg!! I love the AVI!

@abovealltherest...I agree with the ladies. Thank you Fluer for the compliment. I did my second BC because I was tired of doing my hair..it got to be too much. Also I never had a length goal...I just wanted to see if I could make it grow and I did that...I wanted a good twist out..did that and finally I wanted a decent puff..did that! So now I am here and I don't think I will let it get too long again.

Thanks ladies. I am too tired of doing my hair! I thought about it and I am going to do it Monday. I do have time to let it grow back out. I will post pics when I do!
