What can I do to refresh my curls or braid out for 2nd day hair. If I put water on it it makes it curl but frizz like nobody's business! I recentlly purchased Shea Moisture products(condish, hair milk, and curl smoothie). I used the hold and shine moisture mist and the same thing hapened. I looked a the first ingredient and it was- you guessed it water. Now I'm positive my hair has a love hate relationship with water. I am in a constant hair battle with the frizz. I'm tired of braid outs and want to have a wash n go as an option, but this seems impossible with my frizz. It doesn't matter what style I try because after one day if full of frizz! Any product or tips would be greatly apprecieted! I'm at my frizzy wits end!!!!

How about spritzing with water (or whatever water based refresher) at night and rebraiding (or twisting). By the morning your hair should be dry and your braid out should look fresh again.

Water makes my hair frizz too. I try to refresh with creamy conditioner-type products and/or oils.

Good idea. I never thought to do that. What do you use and how?

When refreshing wash-and-go hair I'll spray in a mixture of conditioner and water. I just make sure that I have enough conditioner in my spray bottle that the water doesn't dilute it too much. For my oils I usuallly use a mixture of olive/castor oil.

If I'm refreshing a braid out-twist out I just use oils and my shea butter/coconut oil mixture.

Thanks! I don't know why it never occured to me to do that with my mixture. I had too much water. I will definately be doing that from now on.
