Did you guys feel the same way when you big chopped or am i on the boat as a loner

I totally understand that. i battled with confidence issues for years. When i did the big chop a burst of confidence was released that has not gone away. That still is very surprising to me because i was a teenager that suffered from self image issues. A womens hair is everything and surprisingly the only thing i felt was liberated!
I love my short kinky hair, some days are rough though. But that exist with any hair. I cant wait til my hair grows but for once in my life i feel beautiful. Maybe its because i felt if i could walk in public with a bald head i could do anything! I have to realize that my self confidence can not be driven by others! if you dont like it..OH WELL! I DO!!!

Yes i like that!! I too sometimes feel as if i can walk outside with a purple wig and not care if im starred out... but thats sometimes....I guess i had to put on the front because I was overweight as i child, had huge glasses and acne... Now i only have one of those issues which is the acne...BUT i now feel like i dont need anyones approval and i love me for me and accept my self. I guess my short kinky hair had me release some of my confidence too...
Kinky hair is where its at!! lol
