keeping hair down
Okay so i just cut my hair and yesterday i decided to try rocking a fro hawk braid out it didn't go as i plan and i ended up throwing on a beenie because my hair doesn't lay down like my bang area ,the back grows downward though , how do you other ladies get your bang to lay down and will it lay down when it grows a bit more or am i stuck with this ? in the pic i had to use bobby pins and a hat to keep my bangs downward

I'm sorry that I have no advice for you but I just wanted to tell you that I'm loving the cute lil' hat and the makeup. Very fresh and springy.

Re: keeping hair down
I first braid my hair down in that direction when it's wet. Then after it dries it usually stays down with no problem. If you are doing this and it won't stay down I would add some kind of gel to it when it's wet. If it still won't stay down then it could be due to the length. good luck
Re: keeping hair down
One side of my hair sticks up in the front (The side pinned up in my avi) so I know how annoying that can be. Idk, seems like the more it grows the more my hair sticks up. Bobby pins are the only thing so far that works for me.

I find that when I twist my hair stands up and when I braid it hangs. However, I also need to use a product that is a little heavier like Shea.

I plait my hair down as others have mentioned and then tie a scarf around my hair to help lay it down.

I agree. When I want bangs, I use bobby pins. As your hair gets longer, it will lay down. I miss my hair standing up

Re: keeping hair down
What I do is layer my twists in the front so that the bang hangs. I make a small row at the very front of my head and twist them really really small. Then I do another layer or 2 of small ones. I increase the size until I'm at the top of the bang (almost to the crown) When I untwist the small sections hang but it's still fluffy on the top.

@ The OP sorry, I don't have much advice about weighing the hair down but what if you did a Pompadour at the front? I think that would look cute :]

Agree with all the others about your hat and the pic, very cute!
Lethalpleazure on yt did a vid about this recently, it's called hair shaping: la roux and she basically shaped her hair the way she wanted by using bobby pins that she hid in her hair and it looked FAB when she was done )
