SHINGLING ANYONE?!! Empty SHINGLING ANYONE?!!

Ok so I have read a few articles and keep seeing this word shingling. Can someone please tell me what Shingling is? what does it look like? How do you do it? Also for what styles would this be most appropriate for (TWA, medium or long length hair)?? Please educate me on this thanks ladies!!!

Check out Miss Jessie's website...they describe it pretty well. Although I tried it and failed, with MJ products. That particular method just doesn't work for my hair. It's probably best with mid length to longer hair.
