Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Conditioner
Hey I was thinking about trying Herbal Essence Hello Hydration conditioner but noticed it has a few cones in it. Has anyone noticed any build up in their hair with this product? Also do you need to wash your hair with a sulfate shampoo to get the build up out from the cones or can you just cowash with this product and be fine? Thanks in advance.

Nope b/c I tend to wash with baking soda when needed and I also clarify my hair montly w/diluted ACV. This is actually one of my favorite conditioners.

Nope, no build up issues here. If I recall correctly, the cones are water soluble.
@KurlyK, I love your avatar. Beautiful hair, smile and all that!

I use it to co-wash, too, and I haven't felt any buildup. There's a list on LHCF that details which cones are water soluble. Let me see if I can find it.

I use the conditioner only method and I use V05 Clarifying Conditioners, those work well for me to get rid of build up if I have any...you may want to give that a try

I don't like to be the bearer of bad news but I absolutely unequivocally hated this product. I disliked it so much that I gave the bottled to my step daughter to play with in her dolls hair.
That conditioner was the most drying conditioner ever. I felt that it left my hair stripped and crunchy. I even tried adding other oils to it and nothing worked. I would never ever purchase it again.

I just bought a bottle of this last night because the store had them on sale for about 3 bucks and I plan on trying it out this weekend. My hair is kinda weird though, always dry, so I'm hoping for good results!

No buildup here either! I love that stuff! The cone is water soluable (that is the new formula) make sure you read the ingredients carefully when you buy it, some stores may have a mix of the old and new formulas..if it has a -xane cone in it, then you may get buildup, but if you see bis-aminopropyl dimethicone, you should be good.
HTH!
BTW, the same thing goes for herbal essences totally twisted...the other HE conditioners have cones..

Wish I could use it. It hates my hair but I love its price.
Re: Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Conditioner
I'm a big fan of HH. No buildup and my hair just soaks it up!
Re: Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Conditioner
OK, I love this Hello Hydration conditioner.
My kid told me that I could use it as a leave in, which I did for the first time yesterday. This stuff is the business. The only thing I put on my hair in the picture is the HH, and I sealed it with a little Qhemets Balm. Look at those little curls. Sorry about the scalpy look - but I was playing with my soft curls and didn't fix it before the picture. My hair is dry in this picture, plus I only used like a quarter-size dollop of the HH and a dime size dollop of the balm. Pretty good results considering the little bit of stuff I used. Yeah, I know, y'all tired of me posting pics of my curls - but I'm sorry, I love them!

Re: Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Conditioner
I didnt have a great experience with HEHH
I tried cowashing with it and it left a gray film on my hair that I couldn't get off until washing it twice with a sulfate shampoo.
I didn't even make it through half that bottle.

Re: Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Conditioner
@Pretty_Vee, perhaps you used to much of it. I have great experiences with HEHH. I use it as a leave in all the time but if I don't use the appropriate amount I get a little bit of grey. With HEHH, a little goes a long way.
Re: Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Conditioner
I didn't have build either but I did switch to Herbal Essences Totally twisted it seems just a littler lighter.

I get the crunchy hair feeling as well. I can see why people love it, but the long term results haven't been great for me.
